Fantasy Advice Part 2

Okay last week I posed the question if I should trade pick 1 of the draft or not. Lets say I keep it.

I would have picks 1,20, 21, 40, 41, 60, 61 and so on.

Of course A Peterson will be my pick. At 20 and 21- its looking like Chris Johnson and either Julio Jones or Brandon Marshall with Peyton Manning and Graham both on the board still. If I take Graham and Manning, I would have arguably the 3 highest scorers at their position. It would then make me take a RB and WR at 40, 41 and at 60, 61. At 40, 41 - posssibility of McFadden, most likely Bush or Murray for the RB . For WR - most likely Wayne or Wallace, with an outside shot at Cruz. Lots of possibilities. Which scenario do you like. If Graham is there at 20, I'd definitely take him and a top 5 QB at 21.

You would go the QB/ TE route??? Here is the thing, no doubt Graham is the best by far at his position fantasy wise. Im not so sure on the qb thing that early though. If I go ahead and grab a WR , I could get Ryan at 40,41 or even Romo at 80,81 . I dont like the running QBs for fantasy. I have had Cam before. He has his huge weeks but he isnt consistent with them. I will say it is 6 points a TD pass which makes Manning valuable.

Man I'll tell you what, if you like to gamble, you might want to consider Luck too.


With that said, if Rodgers and/or Bree's make it back to you at 20/21, I think you may have to pull the trigger.

Just depends on how the draft is going imo.. If you could get any of the WR's (projected) before Julio and Julio - I'd pull a back to back WR combo. Might even grab Fitz at 21. If MJD is still available though, I'd have to draft him. I wouldn't be able to pass on Brees, but I doubt he'll still be there (is possible) and Graham is a valid option as well and he'll most likely be there unless the guy at 18-19 drafts him - so they don't have to take a chance on you getting him. He's a second rounder on yahoo, and I think he'll outscore all other TE's by a healthy margin. Shit, I'm ready for my draft! Mocks just ain't the same.. It just comes back to who you're high on and who's available.. I typically like the WR/WR combo (with no MJD) though.

the thing with having back to back (picks) is not being afraid to draft guys out of projection imo - once you get that down, the rest is history.

I havent thought of a WR/WR combo at 20 and 21. Ive done at least 40 mocks probably and Dez has made it to me maybe 3 times. Julio shares with White and Gonzo, so I kind of look at him like I look at the running QBs. He will have the huge weeks but then he will catch 2 passes for 42 yds . Honestly though the WRs get thin quick and are rather scarce at picks 40, 41. I have gotten Cruz a couple of times there, but its usually Wayne, Colston, or Mike Wallace. I like Wayne a lot but the experts arent high on him this yr . They werent last year either though. Garcon and Stevie Johnson are usually lasting to 60, 61 if I wanted to wait.

I drafted him last year, granted it was by mistake but I took him. I already had Tony and Eli, wanted a TE,wasn't paying attention, and the TE was taken right before my pick, RGIII was next up and bam, I had 3 NFCE QB,s.

Agree here. Matt Ryan or an equivalent should have been there at 20.

rb Spiller(shoot have taken him) ,Doug martin, Jamar Charles, Lynch, Mc coy, Jackson, and Richardson.

I Admit I missed out on some studs, but this league is kinda screwy. Again Td are worth 6 instead of 4. and you get more points per yard than usual. I was shocked that I made the pick 2...never considered him. I got caught in the moment it was a run on QB's.

my league is 6 pts as well as a PPR league. you probably could have gotten Ryan or equivilant in the 3rd. he is gonna be a great fantasy QB this year, but I wouldn't have drafted a QB in the 1st. those stud WR/RBs you skipped would make a bigger difference in my opinion.

I coasted thru the first three rounds, couldn't pass up on Marshall at 24.. Colston was a panic pick (I was running out of time on the clock) then selected Ball (meh) I wouldn't take Ivory and sooner than I did, just couldn't pass up because we were running short on RB's and I drafted three WR's in a row.. Wish I wouldn't of wasted the pick on Rudolph.. I'm not a fan of my bench at all at this point. I started reaching and I have NEVER drafted three TE's! But I waited too long.. Escobar could pay off with our two TE set but that will be the position where I'll be kicking myself in the butt for starting/not starting someone on a weekly basis.. I'm not thrilled, but I don't hate it..

So, cheer me up and tell me to order my rings lol. (honesty preferred)
