These are the guys I would like to see us target in FA. Of course that doesn't account for some guys seeking the world, and others maybe being franchised (Mosely).

TE Tyler Eifert, Bengals
CB Darqueze Dennard, Bengals
RT Ja'Waun James, Dolphins
LB CJ Mosely, Ravens
WR Tyrell Williams, Chargers
TE Jesse James, Pittsburgh
LB Preston Smith, Redskins

Listen Crash.... We can get a donation around here to get a CJ Mosely Ravens jersey.... Because that's where he is playing next year. If he does somehow escape Baltimore, it will be to a team that wildly overpays linebackers. I don't think that team is Cincinnati.

*CJ Mosley...and 0.0% chance of him being a Bengal.

Crash has a better chance of being Bengals GM

Why not overpay a little bit for a LB that:
1) Steals a talent from a division rival who had the best defense in our division last year.
2) Gives us the most important position on defense (the QB of the defense).
3) Improves the weakest part of our team.
4) Sets a tone for a young and energetic coach and puts his stamp on this team right away.

Okay, maybe a slim chance, but that is a greater number than 0% if you are willing to slightly overpay.

I guess we can always spend a lot less on Preston Brown and Preston Smith. Either way, that LB core needs rebuilt now, it can't wait to build the whole thing through the draft. It needs some talent infused into it.

Maybe a healthy Preston Brown and a new scheme will be just fine in the middle. Preston Smith is a good player also and I wouldn't mind seeing him play OLB for the Bengals. Let Burfict walk. Forget about Vinny Rey, and you have to draft a LB in the 1st or 2nd round this year who is no project, but rather a legit prospect.

I feel ya. Guess it all depends on the value Mosely is seeking. The Browns and Colts are in the best position to nail down a quality FA like Mosely due to cap space. Gotta start somewhere with this defense, and MLB is the best place to start in my opinion.

Would give other teams a shot at Eiffert, he doesn't help us that much.

Takes practice snaps away from the TEs who actually do play.
