I mean, I was pissed at Hossa for leaving, and he was a Penguin for 2 months. Also: CONGRATS! It sounds like it's down to a select few now...but the report was from a Minny radio station, and you tend to wonder where this info comes from...because most of it is in Parise's head.

Well if Suter is all about money, then he'll see you in Detroit during the Flyers' western swing.

Suter seems to like not being in the spotlight...being a big part of the team, but away from too much criticism. This is why he won't be in Philly, or Pittsburgh for that matter. Detroit is seemingly more toned down in that department.

I was annoyed when Hossa left Detroit but not because he didnt resign with us...I got pissed because he went to Chicago.

Exactly, I mean, I really don't think the Wings are a rival...but gosh darnit, it was a freaking MONTH later! Fresh wounds, lemon juice and salt thrown in them! And Hossa waited long enough to screw Shero over in resigning other guys. I mean, in retrospect I'm thrilled he left, but still. Ouch man.

That's what I'm thinking. I feel like the Pittsburgh beat writers were the ones that made Pittsburgh sound like the front-runner and not anyone with a brain.

He can stay with the Devils and have one, maybe two years to compete for a cup. After that they may need to revamp some things. Going to the Penguins or Wings would give him a chance to compete for much longer. With the Wild, he'd probably need to wait a few years to make it back to the top.

Minny is the only team that can build the team around him. If I wanted to be home, with a better hockey fan base, thats where I'd go

I do agree that the Pitt guys were the ones pumping it up a bit...but many other insiders seemed to feel they were in the front of the pack. I find it interesting that their offer is the only one not really known. Well, and the Devils. But, I'm assuming the Devils isn't as nice? Just based purely on assumption. I think it comes down to how soon he wants to win.

Also, I'm going on record saying I love the Marty deal and have no problem paying a guy that took a paycut in the past in the prime of his career finally getting a little more he should have gotten from the start especially considering he was the main reason we even made it to the finals. Too many times contacts arent given based on past success, and this one was. Rightfully so.
