• Seahawks signed TE Gerald Everett, formerly of the Rams, to a one-year, $6 million contract.​

  Everett gets a prove it deal after a couple of iffy seasons in a timeshare with Tyler Higbee. Attached to Russell Wilson and his pass-game coordinator from Los Angeles, Everett has some sleeper appeal in fantasy circles even with Will Dissly and other serviceable tight ends on the roster. The 27-year-old is a former second-round pick with a career 6.7 yards per target average.

LB KJ Wright still available. Prediction is $6-8m per year on 2 yr deal. The guy just makes plays. Would fit nicely as a mentor to ND LB we may target at 19.

This is far different than any other time. Winning off the field used to mean aging players with big names and oversized contracts. All three of our big signings were bargains and not the biggest names. Hell, people didn’t even know who Jackson was and Fitzpatrick wasn’t somebody people were lining up to sign.
