Kinda have to agree. White isnt Rg3 by any means, but with him our offense is almost the same.

Thing is white WONT take the chances Rex does. At least not so far. Based on tonight, he will push rex for his job. Which i didnt think was possible.

White did a good job last night. I agree with the earlier poster though, it's not time to go all Colt Brennan or Babe Laufenberg. No one has wanted White for three years. If this team gets to its 3rd QB during the season the year is in jeopardy anyhow. Grossman is there to be a mentor to Griffin and Cousins, Pat White can't do the same thing.

cut em both (assuming RG3 is 100%). Neither will be picked up by anyone. Use that spot on one of those exciting young WRs or RBs.

I agree that you could cut both if Griffin was 100% healthy and I think he is on his way but I am not certain he will start in game 1 yet. I think Robert is ahead of schedule but he is not ready to play a football game at this point and we are not sure how far away that time is yet.

From the NFL.com highlights package, he looked okay as a runner, but he's still noodle armed as hell. I think Pennington has a stronger arm than him lol

I'd be surprised if he made the team. He runs the read option well but can't run the base offense. And, this was the 4th quarter of the first preseason game. Playing against practice squad and camp fodder.

I'd personally try to convert him to WR and use him as a wildcat threat (not that Washington need that with RGIII at QB).

I don't like Rex Grossman. But the reality is that the coaching staff does. And White will have to do more than run read option plays with success to make the team. In camp, he's been absolutely horrid running the base offense.

i like pat white , i like what he did last nite . but it was against walmart baggers

If the Redskins are going to keep a 3rd QB which is probably wise this year then the only decision is to keep Grossman. He has limitations but he is a pro caliber QB. White was not a good passing QB in college much less the NFL.

I agree with what Cooley said today on radio that the coaches gave him short passes which he was capable of making instead of down field passes. Cooley said "it's still heads up on the sidelines" when White is on the field practicing.
