Richards , Jones, Taylor and Woods used guitar blending on most of their recordings.
This is a great tune but falls under the radar...I understand that. A lot of gap fill riffs, not exactly lead guitar riffs. A lot of funk rhythms. Their main sound, to me, is playing slightly out of sync, not tight. I say this with great appreciation, the best garage band ever.

When you think of the Stones' sound, lead guitar is not what I think of.
But the great solos that exist are Taylor for the most part. Their guitar quality dropped off considerably when he left.
That may be. I don't know. Like I said, I don't see the Stones as a lead guitar driven band
Bobby Keys was a great sax player.And for sure they aren't now.
But anything that required a "solo" while Taylor was there was done by him.
And for that matter, Bobby Keys probably had more great solos than any Stones guitarist.
