So - if Cousins does lead them to the playoffs & Snyder signs him "at all costs" - well - doesn't sound very smart to me. The insane contract will be significantly higher than the one that they can negotiate now. Sounds like poor business to me.

Let's say the results are slightly less. Are you basically advocating getting rid of Cousins unless he takes them to the playoffs (understanding that it involves more than just him)? Honestly - assuming health - I believe that Cousins really just needs to come through more in clutch games to get to the next level, and I truly believe that he is capable of doing this.

BTW - if you are truly a Cousins backer then why were you so eager to get rid of him over the last several months? You started non-stop threads on this subject the moment even the slightest rumor about a Cousins trade hit the web. Doesn't sound like someone who was a fan of Cousins.

Of all people, I would think you would have figured out what was going on here Dean.

Dan and Bruce are more concerned with being right, than whats best for the team. For those two its always personal disguised by business. They want to keep Kirk, but only of they can say we won in the negotiations. And they are not going to let Kirk go unless he is going to some place other than the Niners.

i dont het it dean, KC is negotiating a contract that most likely will be his only big money deal of his career . why is he an asshole for that ?

fact is we dont know hole lot about whats going on . 2 months ago experts and "in the know " people had him in SF and some still clung to that shit

and then we have the "trust impaired " BA saying they are still talking

i dont think you can make sense out of any of it except he is playing this season and will command even more money next time around
