This is what hockey is supposed to be all about. Hard nosed teams just going at it, blow for blow. I really respect both teams on the ice. I even have an appreciation for Pronger. My frustration with him is he doesn't have to be an obnoxious pussy. He's actually too good for that. But whatever.
I like the good young leaders of both teams. I like how they've assembled defenses that can steal the puck AND drill you. I like the "no real superstar" scoring attacks. I like both coaches who don't seem to have any fear. Two young goalies playing like they have nothing to lose.
I like the idea of the NHL showcasing guys like Toews, Kane, Richards, Carter, Sharp, Byfuglien, Lieno, Versteeg and Carle. You know... HOCKEY PLAYERS.
