Im in the championship game this week because of Jamaal Charles. 750 to the winner , 250 to the loser. Matt Ryan has been my QB all year with exception of his bye week. He has been very average this year and honestly the rest of my team has picked up the slack. One problem though my WRs have concussions- Fitz and Cruz. I just happened to check the waiver wire and both Rodgers and Cutler are sitting there. Rodgers may not play, but Cutler has a whole lot better matchup than Ryan. Do I dance with the one that brought me or do I snag Cutler and let him play 1 game for all the marbles. Of course he was dropped when he was hurt and his team is no longer playing.

I have Antonio Brown who has been my flex all yr as well as Keenan Allen on the bench. I can drop whoever. I do think Fitz will play. If he doesnt I would just slide Deangelo Williams to Flex. It was auction draft.

Antonio must play and Keenan is a much better choice than Cruz anyhow so no worries there

No ethics question here; those players are available to whichever of you wants them.

definitely make the adds.

Why is this an ethics question? I don't get it.

no ethics in fantasy! Cutler and/or Rodgers should both be picked up... you owe Matt Ryan nothing!

... and I wouldn't start Fitgerald against the Seahawks, if he was 100% healthy, let alone concussed.

I thought the same thing. There's nothing ethically wrong about adding potential players.

I think he meant karma instead of ethics? :noidea:

Well the karma would be a bitch, guarantee that if I was in these shoes and grabbed Cutler..Ryan would go 350 and 4, while Cutler twists that bruised ankle after throwing 2 picks in the first quarter, enter McCown..bah!

Exactly. I should have said Karma. I got both Rodgers and Cutler. I wanted Pitta to keep him from getting him because Celek is his TE. He got Pitta like I figured.

Cutler is projected for 23 where Ryan is 12 by the way our scoring system is set. My total is 134 to 110. So Im favored by 24.

Ryan actually wasn't average all year. Eight weeks ago he was the fourth-best fantasy QB (and Cutler was 14th). Now Ryan's 15th. Lack of Julio, Roddy injured and spotty, Gonzalez getting old and SJAX out or underperforming really hurt him, and Douglas only partially compensated.

That said, he's still a good QB, SJAX seems to be what they had hoped for in the beginning, Gonzalez only has two games left in his career and may turn it up a little, and Roddy is returning to form. If you want to go the "karma" angle, you could say Cutler's on a short leash because McCown has been so good, and sitting Ryan now would be like a classic buy-high/sell-low proposition. (Cutler's per-start fantasy points this year are just a shade above Ryan's.)

Of course Cutler is facing the Eagles and Atlanta is facing SF, which is pretty persuasive on paper. I say pick up Cutler, sleep on it, and decide later.

I suppose projections are the same as rankings although I find the projections very misleading. That aside, I agree with most everyone else that Cutler is the better play.

Yes projections are misleading. Basically though Ryan has averaged about 18 points a game via my leagues scoring system. He plays SF- He is projected for 12. He could easily surpass that number. The Bears WRs are so hot right now and they are going up against a defense that was just shredded by Cassel.
