IMO the ESPN guys are mostly number guys who never played. Kirkjen(?), Olney, like to bring up the obscure numbers. MLB TV at least have guys who have played the game. I actually like Mitch Williams, aka wild thing. ESPN has fallen into an abyss when it comes to baseball.

Are you sure you're watching the right Baseball Tonight? You realize that Aaron Boone, Alex Cora, Doug Glanville, Barry Larkin, Chris Singleton, Dallas Braden, Schilling (before he left for his cancer treatment), Ozzie Guillen etc all played in the majors, right?

And being a player doesn't give you common sense...which guys like Joe Morgan and Mitch Williams seemingly lack when they do their "analysis."

Haven't watched Baseball Tonight since Harold Reynolds was fired. Only time I don't like MLB's coverage is when Brian Kenny is on. (Mitch Williams really bothers me. Im liking DeRosa a lot so far.)

I'm a huge baseball fan, and I can't imagine why I'd ever watch Baseball Tonight again. Haven't in 4 years or so.

MLB Tonight is much better. I'm a little disturbed that they hired that muppets character who used to do that stupid show on NY radio, but MLBTV is excellent overall.

MLB's network dominates ESPN. ESPN only likes to talk Red Sox and Yankees, regardless of who they are playing and when they are playing each other every pitch and swing is analyzed and broken down, its beyond dumb. MLB network lets you know what's going on with a lot of other team and lets you know about other teams rising starts including lowly teams like the Astros, Royals and Twins. I am always happy to see their coverage be as fair as possible.
