Fantasy football rankings Week 4 2011 quarterbacks start sit player rankings - Fantasy Football - ESPN

Wow talk about being disrespected. Alex Smith is not in ESPN's top 25 QB's after 3 weeks, but Kevin Kolb, Sam Bradford, and Donovan McNabb are in it. What's their teams record again? How many turnovers have they committed.

Frank Gore is so badly overrated as the #13 RB as well. The guy has done nothing so far this season.

Our defense not being top 10 is also a little insulting. Our defense and special teams have been our key to a 2-1 start that was nearly a 3-0 start.

It's like ESPN makes it a point to now talk about the 49ers at all. If they are actually going off of "The first 3 weeks" that is a load of shit. You can't tell me Henne and McNabb have out performed Smith to this point.

Well looking at it again it's fantasy football rankings. I guess Smith's lack of TD's hurts him there, and all the turnovers don't hurt the guys the stuck ahead of him as much.

I guess they forgot to judge the QBs by their new and improved QBR, with this one. Kinda hard to convince people your new rating system is more accurate if you don't even bother using it when you rate QBs yourself... Epic Fail for ESPN.

  • #16 Alex Smith ~ 49.0
  • #20 Kevin Kolb ~ 44.9
  • #22 Donovan McNabb ~ 42.8

My Yahoo League Fantasy Points through week 3:
24th Smith 26.97
15th Kolb 40.3
27th McNabb 22.61

But in week 3 Smith only posted 2.33 points to McNabb's 10.01 and Kolb's 7.87

NFL.com has Kolb ranked 19 and Smith and McNabb out of the top 25.

Yeah I'm not sure but I think fantasy football scores more for a TD throw than it takes away for the Int.

It's amazing though that guy ranked in the top 15 of starting QB's right now can not be in the top 25 fantasy QB's though.

What amazes me though is Frank Gore at #13. What has he done so far this season for fantasy points?

I think the real story here is that ESPN actually has a Fantasy Help Line.

In every league I have been in that is the case as it should be because interceptions don't equal an automatic six for the opposition and most drives that end in interceptions wouldn't have ended up in a TD anyway.

My league has TDs as 6 and Ints as -2, Yahoo default values are 4 and -1. Our league also takes a half a point away for sacks.

Gore ranks 35th in our Yahoo league.
