Ouch...how did the ref standings a foot away not see that?

The flagrant 1 before that could've happened, obviously can't see. But that should've been a flagrant at least, if not an outright ejection.

Yeah this didn't show the tackle as well. The ref seen it and they watched the replay 5-7 times. The announcers said this was the definition of a flagrant 2. They elected not to charge a flagrant 2 because Stone is a star player and it was @ MD.

They miss a lot of stuff sadly. But what I don't get is how come it didn't go to the replay video? For sure they would have called it then, no?

They msis a lot of things, but not a lot of things when they're literally a foot away from it.

Also I think this nonsense that the allen play was a "hard call to make" is just that...nonsense.

The man took 2.5--3.5 steps. That's even a travel by NBA standards (for the most part).

and anyone who says that was a foul on the UVA guy, send them a link about the rule of verticality. That was textbook perfect defense.

I think they become too much of "fans" then officials. I've officiated and I will admit I became one as well, as hard as I tried not too. Granted it never was as high of officiating as this

And before anyone can say you can't make that call at that point in the game:

Niether allen nor the stone play is that hard.

And yes they could do replay on stone for sure.

Personally I didn't see the foul (if anything Allen created the contact, if anything) and yes it was a travel but the officials were clearly looking at the clock instead of the feet.

HAHA, NBA there is no such thing as a travel in the NBA you're just silly! :dhd:

It's a 3 man crew. And frankly you're not looking for the clock. That's improper mechanics. You're watching for the shot to go off and relying on the horn. Because there's really no way to see both in most instances.

but i mean come on, the guy tucked it and ran with it harder than any Titans RB this year. That's automatic. And then he traveled a SECOND time before getting the shot off.

Most of these old guys shouldn't be reffing here either if that play is too hard for them to call.

they can't see, that could explain why they miss so many calls right next to them
