Here's a photo of Doug and Crash watching last week's game.

I guess I have to be Cheech since Chong probably looks more like Doug I am guessing, since he is older. lol

First Take? Ha ha ha... Like Skip Bayless has a fucking clue about football. He was still humping the Cowboys as a great team and Romo as an elite QB. Jesus, my 90 year old grandmother knows more about football than that douche bag.

Skip and Stephen A. were off today. It was 3 other douche bags.

I haven't watched it in so long b/c they are always so fucking wrong and they have no idea what they are talking about. I saw Bayless on First Take (I thought it was yesterday) saying how the Cowboys were so good offensively... I near spit my beer out. Huh? Maybe Murray is but that's it, even with a healthy Romo.

I'm going to hook myself up to a breathing machine before the Chargers game so that I can't hold my breath.

Salary cap, age on defense, and finding a #2 WR is going to be worth watching for the Steelers.

Steelers are, at early projections, expected to be at 10Mil over the cap. Their top 4 defensive players are all 33-34is years old, and the replacements on defense haven't set the world on fire (yet).

OL should come together, really just need health. Miller and Bell will be there all year, again, health a big factor.

Going to need to replace Sanders, as I think he'll be gone.

It'll be an interesting off-season for them, that is for sure.

Good points...I think PIT is still a work in a progress especially the DEF...the OFC imo a big WR/TE away from being championship caliber, but the DEF is not...Wheaton imo will be better than Sanders but is really a slot not a #2...a big NT would be nice, but the big problem is Woodley...Worilds played better this year. The young DL guys are going to be okay...Heyward has developed nicely.

Cap...Ike and Troy will have to take big cuts...word is Ike is willing...Troy is a ? I sense that he will, but Thomas is ready to take over SS. Clark is gone...FS imo is a big question.

Agreed. I think the offense, as long as Ben is in control, can take big steps forward next year.

The question will be if the defense can regain some of its luster. Even if guys like Ike and Troy take paycuts, their production is bound to slip at some point, and with Troy, you always have to worry about health.

Still the cap is going to be the biggest issue right off the bat. I'm not sure if the 10mil over includes draft signings or if that is just expected roster salary prior to draft. If that does not include draft money needed, then you are looking at around 20mil in overages.

Got to think Dick LeBeau is still a good enough coach to turn around that defense, provided he isn't becoming senile......

That is all I ever did and I got made fun of for it. Life is too short. So I agree with you. Enjoy life, Happy New Year's, Go Bengals!

38-20 Bengals over the Chargers

In the end, crash, you had it right all along..........

ESPN loses if the Bengals are good. They make most of their money off the large markets. The Bengals making a run would be their biggest nightmare. That's also why they're always slobbing the Cowboys knobs.....

Hopefully other teams listen to ESPN and look past them. When you kick the Chargers asses, it will feel that much better!

Good Luck Cincy!

It would feel really good to finally win a playoff game. But I'm a homer --- I want a deep run.

Thanks, though, for your support.

Life is too short to continue in a constant negative spin. I'd rather get out in front of the run than wait until it is over. Where's the fun in that? A few things to support my position.

2011 -- All seven regular losses vs playoff teams with zero wins

2012 -- 2-2 vs playoff teams with one of those wins vs a Baltimore team who rested starters

2013 -- 3-0 vs division winners and 4-0 vs playoff teams

If you don't see improvement there, then you need to open your eyes......

The Bengals don't affect me emotionally in any way. I call them the way I see it. I have never said the Bengals haven't improved, but I'm not likeost of the fans on this board, I'm not going to be biased towards them just because they're my favorite team. They have to earn the benefit of the doubt the same I'd expect from any other team.

As for my expectations, I fully expect them to win this Sunday. They should blow out the Chargers, but probably won't. But in the playoffs, a win is a win. From there I will be just as excited as any other Bengals fan, but I'd expect a loss against the Patriots.

As a side note, if the above happens as I expect, it'll be the same thing next season until they beat a team that deserves to be in the playoffs and actually earn that respect. Why? Because IMO we have one of the most talented teams in the league on both sides of the ball, but they don't have the game or swagger to show for it.

We have similar expectations, just different attitudes about it.

How do you come to this conclusion? Because we didn't beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh on Sunday night?

The team won 11 games..... They had a small slump in the middle of the season before their bye week which led to poor performances against the Dolphins, Ravens and Browns (even though the game was a blow out). They won their home games by an average of 17 points. That is extremely difficult to do in this league.

I enjoy your posts. I'll admit you're more intelligent than I am.. I'll probably lose if this turns into a long-winded debate.. etc

Now with that said, how is it possible to be a fan of a team without making any emotional investment in them?
