I wouldn't go so far to say the Wizards are a title contending team. But they're moving into the 6-8 range....at the very least in the thick of the playoff hunt.

Pretty sure he was joking. The Wizards are a big man and 2 years away from contending for real.

Nene is a big man lol.

But I agree with heatles....6-8 in the east are up for grabs right now and WSH can very well get one of those 3 seeds

Atlanta will still be there even without Josh Smith. Kind of surprised Mike Budenholzer took the job with the Hawks as opposed to waiting for Popovich's eventual retirement with the Spurs.

Could Al Horford and Jeff Teague be the next Duncan and Parker???

Hey, there's got to be some reason he agreed to coach there...

Horford I can see being a great player...As for Teague I don't think he's anything special.

With the Hawks drafting that PG, I don't think Teague is in their plans.

I can dish out the sarcasm, but sometimes take some posters on here too serious.:L

The German guy? He's no guarantee to pan out. Even if he does, Pop's staff has gone with a two PG lineup before. Remember George Hill?

Teague will be back in Atlanta.

Okafor is a nice veteran role player for the Wiz.

My projected East standings:

  1. -pass-
  2. Brooklyn
  3. Pacers
  4. Bulls
  5. Knicks
  6. Atlanta
  7. Washington
  8. ???

This year maybe. He is a restricted FA. They aren't signing him long term.

I remember they traded George Hill. He obviously wasn't that important.

They won't have a choice if a team signs him to a 3 or 4 yr deal. Either they match or let him walk

Wiz will take the 7 or 8 spot, Boston will take the other. Bucks got worse, so there out. Hawks will be bad if they lose Smith.

Detroit may be a sleeper if they're able to get Smith.
