Yes it was a good catch, a very good catch and a surprising catch.... but....

1) It was on first down
2) Time wasn't a factor at that point
3) It wasn't that long (25 yards or so)
4) It wasn't in scoring position

Yes it was an exceptional catch but it wasn't a game changer. The past miracle catches against the Pats were all game changers.

It was an amazing catch that showed determination, body control and hand/eye coordination no matter what down it was.
The team was on a role and Edelman did not let a tipped pass get by him or get intercepted, instead turning it into another first down.
The Tyree catch might have been a bigger difference maker, but it was more of a lucky catch, whereas Edelmans catch yesterday was more about ability and guts.

Awesome catch, can't wait to see it again.

Jillian made a great play and will never have to pay for a beer in New England ever again.
That's all that matters to the Pat's fan base.

Are you serious about the bold part of your statement? If he doesn't catch that who knows what could have happened, if he doesn't at least get his finger tips on that the ball gets intercepted. Sure it was on first down but that type of catch brings life to a team and that was certainly want the Patriots needed

I stand by my comments. That pass would have hit the ground if Edelman did not catch it. He was too much in the way for anyone else to snare it. Again, because it was on first down and the Pats did not NEED the 20 yards at that moment, it was not a game changer.

The qualities Edelman exhibited to make that catch he brings to every play. I can't say enough about how good he is.
