Also Elway never flinched though a very long process .. He is one blessed man .. most would of traded up and spent half the draft ... Elway spent what was essentially going to be given to him for the lost of OZ ... Ice man !

Very good read. Didn't read it word for word but it definitely shows just the due diligence that Elway and his staff put into looking at every possible option yet showing patience when the price is not right. Elway is cautiously aggressive when it comes to the off season. If he sees something or somebody he really likes he does what he can to get them but never at the expense of the team or our future.

Also I do agree that not signing Osweiler was maybe the best move that Elway made all off season. We could be looking at the Broncos getting Lynch, Sanders, and Marshall all for about the same price per year as that of signing Osweiler. Much rather have that combo than that of just Osweiler. Also amazes me how much the tune of the media has changed over the last month. WE went from Elway is an idiot for not signing Osweiler and having no answer at the QB position to Elway's patience proves he is still one of the top GM's in football. See this to me is why teams like the Patriots can stay on top in they don't just panic when they have a hole on the team. They show patience and get the right player at the right price. I'm seeing that same patience in Elway to not panic. Now given there is probably no GM in football with a colder seat than that of Elway. After winning a Super Bowl and really being a hero for the state of Colorado we could have a few down years and he would still be regarded as the best thing to ever happen to the Denver Broncos. Thankfully his competitive drive I think will keep us year in and year out fighting for the title.

Elway is the best thing to happen to the Broncos, on and off the field
