Mayhew says there is not 10 elite guys in this draft.

So who do you guys think will be elite players in this draft?

Manziell
Watkins
Mack
Matthews

Those 4 i think will be. Definitely plenty of others could be. But those 4 are the ones I feel are more than likely going to be elite.

I think both Evans and Watkins can be elite if they work hard. Mack and Barr also.

If Nick Fairley was in this draft, he'd still be lazy.

Clowney and maybe Mathews and Robinson. The rest seem like a crap shoot to me. Barr could be in the right scheme. I am not enamored by any of the QBs.

I don't have any faith in clowney at all. Dude seems like a giant bust waiting to happen. Some team is going to be pissed.

I agree with this, Clowney has Bust written all over him, because once the ink is dry, he's just a overpaid player now.....Mark my words......and I know a lot of you guys will.

No matter how hard coaches try, you can't teach ambition.....Either you have it or you don't....Clowney doesn't.

Fitting name by the way....Clown......ey.

No way, safest pick in the draft. If I was picking 2-6, I would say he is a lazy bum as well so that he might fall to me lol.

I can't see how he's the safest pick in the draft... I think people have fallen in love with his combine numbers and not his play.

A 4.5 40 time at his size and one huge hit where he went completely unblocked have vaulted him into a top-5 lock, but his game tape apparently tells another story...

Depends on your definition of elite. There are about 30 elite prospects, imo, and at least 10 of them will bust because every prospect in the draft has a red flag or two somewhere except for Jake Matthews.

His game tape from last year maybe. Yes, the hit seen round the world put him on the map, but dude was a beast his sophomore year.

When he cares, he's a monster. But that's the problem, can you trust him to always care?

Nick Fairley doesn't trust him.

What are you talking about? As Hevo pointed out. The guy destroyed it his sophmore year. Then entire offenses, actually ran their offenses away from his side of the field. That is a mad amount of respect. Rare prospect.

We'll see.

I see an over-hyped athlete who had a good season and then disappeared when the spotlight was put on him. If college offenses figured out how to scheme him out that quickly, then I don't have high hopes for him being able to make the kind of impact in the NFL that seems to be expected out of him.

It's a huge red flag, imo, that his college coach has thrown him under the bus more than once.

I guess, overall, what scares me the most is that I see a guy who bought into his own hype too soon (ala Nick Fairley) and will never live up to his potential because he thinks he's a transcendent player who doesn't need to put in the work that made the greats great.

That's just my opinion, though...

How bout 'pretty fair'? I'm hoping the Lions take Barr and groom him for the middle. It's been a long time since they had a middle backer with his kind of sideline to sideline speed. Yeah. I think Barr would be pretty fair.
