He was put on IR designated to return which obviously didn't happen. His shoulder injury happened at some point during Training Camp.

The recent surgery was on his shoulder, which was an issue coming into the season, but he was playing through it.

Clearly, they went a head and had that done because his elbow was never going to be ready this season.

Which also means he won't get his elbow fixed until training camp.

Its funny, for years we all clamored for a tight end for the offense. Now we've spent two recent first round picks on the position, and probably got as much production from them as when we had no one.
