I loved the skate (by G) over to the far corner to jump up into the glass as a fan wearing a #28 jersey with the C on it went wild on the other side after sniping a shot past Dubnyk while guarded by the Oilers' captain Ference and using him as a screen.

Best run-on sentence ever. Even better that it turned out to be the game winning goal.

I loved this game today - Claude Giroux scoring his 1st goal topped it off - awesome win!

Now maybe I'm wrong here, but to me, this game today means we have no business trading with Edmonton. Their forwards may be young, quick and highly skilled offensively, but they're absolutely terrible defensively and if it weren't for some luck and a little of Dubnyk standing on his head, we would've scored a touchdown on them today...with the extra point.

So, fuck Edmonton. I like our team the way it is, especially once Downie returns.

I agree Maverick. There was nothing that impressed me about Eberle enough to want to trade somebody for him.

Agreed - the Oilers seem toxic for whatever reason - good players go their and go to shit - there's a black cloud hanging over that organization

would have been nice to have Bryz start, and then the flyers could have put Emery in,to skate over and give him a good beating.

Good win Flyers fans & way to go Viiiiiiiinny!!!!! Nice to see him add a goal at the end! I knew he'd be a great fit here. Such a talented player, I knew he had more left in him just waiting to be unleashed!

Like I said before, when G plays with that edge, he's unstoppable. He hasn't had it this season save for the last two games. For those of you who didn't see this game, G could've easily had two or three let alone just his first. After he was robbed on a couple glorious chances earlier in the game, he was seen skating over to the bench where he swiftly demolished his stick in half across the boards. Then he came back the next shift and for the rest of the game just as hard and determined. Let's just say, it paid off and will continue to pay off.

This three game road trip will be a test, but if G keeps his edge and plays with that passion we're used to out of him, we should at least hang with teams like Ottawa and Winnipeg, then maul teams like Florida and Buffalo later on that are in complete disarray.

We're really only five points back of a playoff spot. It's not as deep a hole as it seems. Most all of the teams ahead of us in the division are losing their fair share of games right now, even the mighty Pens...lol

Five back of the Rangers for the third spot in the division and seven back of the Sens for the 2nd wild card
