Kings are letting these guys hang around far too long. Need to put this team away. Start using the body and drive to the net. Have they forgotten how they scored? It'll help immensely if they can get one on this power play.

What a goaltending find this kid is. Thanks to the collegiate scout who recommended signing him as a free agent.

I think Brown thought about not putting it in the empy net but then said" fuck it I need to get a goal"

He was going to put it in, he was just being cool about it.

Game's just about over, you're skating uncontested, no need to inflame the other team by doing a spinorama between the legs backhand into an empty net or slamming it in when there's no goalie.

True but he had to know it was he 400th point and it is kind of a lame way to get it. Not a highlight reel goal by any means

Yeah, it was kind of a pansy way to get his 400th point but sometimes a player just needs that feeling again of what it's like to score and maybe that can jump start him.

I'm just glad he didn't do this:

He's usually good for 20-25 goals by season's end, although he hits major slumps all throughout the season every year. I don't think I have ever seen him this unproductive though, I don't really "see" him every night - I don't hear his name a lot like in recent years.

You know what I really loved about last night? That Nail Yakupov's play and development was questioned and that he was a complete non-factor.

After his showboating slide last season beating the Kings in OT, Don Cherry and some others said it was an over the top celebration, especially from a young player with almost no NHL experience. He's a kid, and was probably excited, but have some more class than that. You scored a late goal, not the OT GW in Game 7 of the SCFs.

Tom Sestito got even with him late last season:

Freaking awesome.
