First of all...rep this post (lol)

Secondly, good trade for the Ducks, Cogliano is like a younger version of Todd Marchant and for a 2nd round pick, I think that's pretty good value.

Edit: must spread first.

I remember a few years back when Cogliano and Gagner were being touted as the "future of the Oilers". I don't know if Edmonton will finish last again in the league this upcoming season, but I still expect them to be making a lottery selection in 2012...

lol...Is a Magnum of Baby Duck still under $10?

i needed to look this up for peace of mind (and potential future reference if Im ever homeless)

$12.99 at BC LDB ... Id say $10 of that retail price is BC liquor tax related

Wait, so the Ducks traded a draft pick for a jug of wine?

I'm leaning towards the Ducks on this deal...

I don't like this deal for the Ducks. Cogliano has received a lot of hype for not doing much. He's got good speed, but lacks size & a willingness to go to the net.

On a positive not I'm glad he won't be an Islander.

That Russian is a beast. Posted better numbers his rookie season in the OHL than Crosby in his Freshman year in the QMJHL.

I know fortunately their's a lottery system. However, I think the last place team gets far to big of an advantage in winning it.

I think the NBA does a better job. This year the Cavaliers won the lottery with the Clippers pick, which would have been 9th overall. So they went from 9th overall to the 1st pick.

If another team wins the lottery they should get the 1st pick no matter where they were slotted. If the 14th team wins the lottery they should get the 1st pick.
