Leonard, CP and Aldridge is a formidable trio imo.

CP3 and Kawhi are a great duo. Aldridge has a lot of question marks about him right now in terms of his ability to play quality basketball in the playoffs. He also had the opportunity to be the 1 with Kawhi being out - it didn't turn out well. Draymond and McGee bullied him out of his comfort zone and forced him into 15+ footers which took away his advantage in that series.

ehhh at least those first rounders are somewhat protected unlike the idiot Nets....no one trades unprotected or very lightly protected picks anymore----- Clips- i would like to think- learned their lesson with Kyrie on that one.

I'll still never understand what Billy King was thinking when that trade went down.

CP strikes me as the type who just might take less than fair market value to join a perennial contender (especially if TP retires) to finally win. He's made 137 million over the course of his career and he's 32.
I just don't see that happening. First off I think there is 0% chance Parker retires and what do you do then? Plus in order to make any respectable offer they are going to have to let a good bit of their depth go. Their front court is going to need addressing with some of the disappointments from this season and who knows what Lee and Dedmon are going to do in the offseason.

Sure.

If he thinks it's enough to take out the Warriors and Cavs.

I don't.

I think they'd need another guy which would cut into his money even more.

So, I think he might prefer Blake, Deandre plus 25 more million a year in salary....

Aldridge is averaging 16.5ppg and 7.4rpg.....he'd be a solid 3rd option behind Leonard and CP. He's not a 1st or 2nd option imo.

Yeah....

It's easy to say, he should go.

But, he'd have to take a $10 million a year deal because they'd have to use cap space.

I don't see it, even though I think he should go.

That I can agree with. But Aldridge showed me something this series (against a finesse team) that Gasol showed me in '08 against the Celtics - he got bullied. Gasol made up for it in '09 and '10 which is why I respect him a lot as a player now. But with that trio (which I don't think ever comes to fruition), Aldridge would have to step up as he'd the quintessential big man that does the dirty work in the paint.

I hope Gasol retires and rides off into the sunset.
You and me both bud. But I think he'd be stupid to leave that player option on the table.

....you think he's gonna leave 16 mill on the table?

He will never make that much again.

If he did, CP3 would be slightly less a pipe dream.

They'd be able to get into sniffing distance of $20 mil.

Probably not. He's just not the same player he once was. Drastically declining.

Agreed, Aldridge would be a really nice piece as the #3 guy

That game that Leonard went down, I almost felt embarrassed for Aldridge in the way he so shrunk in that moment when he knew he was "The guy"...

Cleveland needs to win game 5.

Not only is GS home resting, but they also know who their opponent will be, so they have already been prepping for Cleveland.

The Celtics are not going to lay down in game 5. Cavs will need to bring their A game like they did in the second half last night. Anything less and we are headed for game 6. I give Boston about a 40% chance to win this one. But, a .00000000001% chance to win the series.

They will still get a week rest if they can win Game 5, if I am correct, but I agree. They need to close them out Thursday

Celtics put up a fight at least. They just have a bunch of sucky offensive players to take the Cavs in the long haul.

Its all good. The Warriors will have the LeTots screaming and running for the bills in a week or two

Will that help your restless nights, you wont have to keep thinking about Lebron but we all know that's what you really want :laugh3:

one of the things that impressed me so much about Kyrie is that the Celtcs were playing some solid D.

I think Avery Bradley is one of the best matchups to cover Kyrie in the league.

Yeah that is the good thing, there isnt a single GS defender that matches up better against Kyrie than Bradley does and he shot 10-14 against him last night. 10-14 against one of the best guard defenders in the league.

CP3 and Kawhi is enough depending on their support IMO. That is an insane duo. The good thing if that happens is the Cavs wont have to play them till the Finals :laugh3:

i just hope the Cavs finish it off in 5.

going 12-1 in the East would be pretty hilarious considering all the panic about the Cavs defense. I have to admit- even I didnt think they could best last years 12-2 record in the East.

@DJ.......

Greed > Winning

There’s been a lot of rumblings about Chris Paul, and I think that’s real,” Lowe says. “I think there’s mutual interest there. I don’t know how real it is given the Clippers can offer a gigantic amount of money and are also a really good team; and the Spurs, like I said, have no sort of cap flexibility to get there. I’m very curious about what they do this summer and who’s on the team next year.”
