It's not though. I had a post last night explaining it and you can go look it up. The hand on the back is at 3.1 to 3.0 seconds which might be the foul.
Then this is before his shooting motion and the foul is on the floor. There’s no way there’s 3.0 seconds left.
But also when as Butler starts his upward motion where Horford's other hand is, that's also at the tail end of 3.0 seconds and 2.9 seconds if you go frame by frame on the Twitter post with the game feed.
I’ve got it at 2.7/2.8 seconds. I watched the same video you did.
From the replay center feed, that latter one is appears to be the foul called (the one the report says it is as well) and they indicate that 3.0 seconds is on the game clock (on the basket) from that frame from those public videos and I'm sure the timestamps indicate this as well (which the public doesn't have). It's not hard to figure out knowing how they adjudicate replay that the timeframe stamps showed 3.0 seconds so that was the call. Just give it up. They got this one right.
They didn’t get this one right. I’ll “give it up” when you can post an accurate assessment of the way the play went down. I’m not rolling over for lies and bull shit. The timing decision and the decision to award 3 shots is wholly inconsistent. Additionally, there was another timing decision that took place in the Heat/Knicks series and that timing decision was made based on when the officials arm went up signaling the call.

Yep but when it happened in game 6 vs Boston they ruled it completely differently than that piece of shit foster and his boys did G2 vs the Knicks. I honestly think these guys got it right but the lack of consistency when it comes to shit that's straightforward in the rulebook is disgusting and why i hate nba refs.

I'm headed out-of-town... going camping... may or may not even have internet access.

Here's to a great game and a C's victory. :suds:

See you all in a few either way.

Hopefully the bad calls are in Miami’s favor. I’ll take anything I can get.

Which kind of brings up the point, should the hand on the rim be a double penalty? I get that it makes it a goaltend, but that AND a technical?
was that the call? goal tend and a T or did the T come from something else (someone arguing?)?

does every pull up jump shot come after dribbling the ball, putting both hands on it, dropping it, then taking another 1-2 steps?
No. But every pull up jumper is going to entail some level of gather step. Based on what the poster I replied to said (gather step shouldn’t be a thing) that would make every pull up dribble jump shot a travel.

I’m pulling for Miami. The last time a team from Colorado who swept their conference finals played a team from Boston who came back to win their series in 7 games they ended up getting swept themselves in the World Series.

I would agree double dribble.

Appears he thought about pulling up to shoot and both hands are on ball... then decided otherwise and dribbled to corner where he gathered up the ball and attempted shot and got fouled.

The league already said it wasn't a double dribble. There's also something in the rulebook that clearly explains why it isn't a double dribble. Explain to me why is this being discussed still?
