they don't always...

If Boston gets possession they would stop play, or if the goalie was in immediate danger they blow the whistle.

Seguin offside... bench that bum!!!

Immediate danger as in the puck is in his area and the Lightning are crashing the net?

Not only did he lose his mask, but the refs ignored him when he tried to tell them something was wrong with his mask, and he had to make a couple of saves without it on.

I remember that... Aside from it being dangerous, that was truly awesome to witness.

I would like Boston to win. And then I'm going out. I have a major afro today and people need to see my curl power.

i guess they didn't think someone taking a shot put the goalie in immediate danger?

i just know boucher (brian, "goalie" for the flyers) pulled his own mask off and they blew the whistle immediately, even though the opposing team (i forget what series) was passing the puck around

I would think Tampa shooting the puck off his face was proof of that.

In regards to the mask, didn't it come off as the puck drifted outside the net, the shot came in, and it went in the net.

I'm not saying the refs shouldn't have blown the whistle, but it did all happen in about a second. By the time they noticed, the puck might have already been in the net.

I'm not saying its' the right call.......... but I understand.

That was against the Sabres, and it was still bullshit because he did it on purpose. :D
