If Boston gets possession they would stop play, or if the goalie was in immediate danger they blow the whistle.

Not only did he lose his mask, but the refs ignored him when he tried to tell them something was wrong with his mask, and he had to make a couple of saves without it on.

I wouldn't know. Either the Bruins were playing the same night, or Versus was showing another game. Never saw it, but that's a pretty stead fast rule now.
