Cool to see a kid from Shepherd University. DII school, they dominate the Mountain East Conference which both of my nephews played in. Usually a top 20 DII school. For anyone local the school is just a few miles north of Harpers Ferry, WV.
i was born in fredericksburg va , i know quite a few people who went there

Talked about Billy Brown quite a lot during our pre game show, I said he would be a good fit to replace VJ in Tampa.

I planned on watching the game today in full however I had many interruptions. Any way from what I saw these players displayed some good skills. Deadrich(?) Wise, Deangelo Brown, Joey Ivy, Deon Smith and guy from Wisconsin can't spell his name. The first three are DL. Really like Wise, Brown and Ivy. We have no excuse for not addressing the DL this yr. Absolutely none, zero excuses.

Okay do that skinsdad. The Wise kid showed good pass rushing skills but it remains to be seen if he is a 3 4 or 4 3 DE. He reminds me a little bit of Aldon Smith (Oak). Brown looks like a decent run stuffer and Ivy(?) was around the QB alot. The rb Smith seem to be a good all round back. All of the players I mentioned earlier may be late rd picks however that Wise kid was pretty impressive. You know pass rushing Lineman with PR skills are a premium. Will be looking for the replay of the game on NFL network.

here is my take

1) trey henddrickson de 6-4 265 de good pass rush and he hustles hard on run plays . if we are a 4-3 team he is a good pick

2) deangleo brown 6-0 310 dt very good vs run gets good penetration a rotational guy who can help us

3) josh tupou 6-3 345 lbs DT run game defense gets a boost with this guy . he will eat up blockers on 1st 2 downs

4( detrich wise 6-5 270 lbs de good pass rush skills nice size

5) kermit whitfield WR 5-8 178 this guy is a big play waiting to happen . tremendous speed

6) Billy Brown wr/te /HB 6-4 254 lbs we interviewed this guy he runs routes like a wr , most scouts have him as a te . could push paul off the roster

these guys appeared to me as guys we should be interested in

I always wish DII kids lots of luck. It is not easy to make it to the NFL from there. Brown can play at that level. I have seen him a couple of times. Have to love that he is a Redskin fans. Wish him luck.

Other Shepherd players in the NFL:

Howard Jones - DL Tampa Bay
Shaneil Jenkins - DL signed by Denver, picked up by Dallas during the season, signed by Seattle late - from my hometown, played with my nephews in HS. AKA one of our kids. :D
