I've been interested in Keion White for the last month, and he has been performing quite well.

Keion White

Keion White

Georgia Tech · Edge · Senior (RS)
White is a twitched-up edge rusher with a defensive tackle frame. Against the pass, he has an explosive first step and can really bend at the top of his rush. He can convert speed to power and refuses to stay blocked. He never stops working to free himself and he can stack one move after another. He is a freaky athlete in coverage. On tape, you can see him peel off and mirror running backs 30 yards down the field. He also showed off his effort and motor by running more than 80 yards to look for a block on a Georgia Tech fumble return vs. Florida State. Against the run, he is violent with his hands to shock and shed blocks. He has a huge burst to close from the back side. Overall, White is one of my favorite players in the class and could emerge as the top defender in the class.

Jayden Reed apparently has the fastest clock on field speed so far, and had a few routes that have looked pristine.

He's been a great route runner and with damn good hands. MSU's offense and in particular their QB situation this past year didn't do him any favors. I had hoped that he would've entered last year's draft.

He would be one WR that I'd be interested in so long as it was a day 3 pick.

Another small school prospect to keep your eye on throughout the draft process, Marte Mapu. He's listed as a Safety by Senior Bowl but evidently played ILB at Sacramento State. He might be an intriguing candidate for the SS position.

There have been 3-4 different sites reporting on his play at the Senior Bowl.

The last small schooler is someone who I had not even heard of until this week. Sacramento State linebacker Marte Mapu had a very strong day, notably in coverage drills but also team drills. Mapu is just under 6-foot-3 and weighed in at 217 pounds; he looks more like a Legion of Boom safety than a linebacker, but he showed very impressive power and pad level for an angular guy. He showed legit coverage instincts and the ability to jump routes. Mapu has made me want to watch a lot of Sacramento State game tape, and that’s not something I ever anticipated saying.

Marte Mapu, S, Sacramento State

Like Rush, Marte Mapu was a late add. And like Rush, you would never know it watching him fly all over the field. In college he lined up all over the field and that versatility will certainly translate to the next level. On tape, he's a hard-hitting safety who is at his best coming downhill and has the athleticism to make plays in space, whether against mobile quarterbacks or dynamic running backs. There may be some questions about his deep speed but he's a lot of fun to watch because he's always around the ball.

On Wednesday, Mapu worked at linebacker and looked like he had been there his entire life. Both against the run ...

Mapu is wearing a Green Helmet.

I have to go back and watch more video on Mapu, who was a standout at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl last week and a late add-on to the Senior Bowl roster. But watching him move around, he’s very athletic. The other thing that stood out to me was his effort in chasing guys down the field. He’s running 30 yards down the field and trying to punch the ball out. Small-school guys like this usually have a chip on their shoulder, and when they show up here, they look like they belong. Mapu certainly has this week. — RS

Also, there are several reports regarding South Carolina CB, Darius Rush. The following is also from Rick Spielman.

A long corner, Rush did an excellent job on Wednesday in one-on-ones. He has an uncanny ability to read and react to the routes the receivers are running. He got his hands on numerous passes on the first two practice days. — RS

Darius Rush, CB, South Carolina

Darius Rush was a late add to the Senior Bowl roster but you would never know it to look at him. He's had two good days of practice and has consistently flashed in the one-on-one drills, which is geared to favor the wide receivers. No one told Rush that.

This was a recurring theme, Rush running the routes for the receivers and the play inevitably ending in a PBU.

There are quite a few CB and Safeties at the Senior Bowl who possess the physical stature that the NFL looks for in today's game.

There is some extended coverage on several Senior Bowl players through The Draft Network site. The content currently exists on pages two through seven which I'm certain will be moved as more write-ups come in. These individual write-ups are listed as Get to Know "insert a Player's Name".

There were no touchdowns scored in the game, but Michigan kicker Jake Moody went 4 for 4, connecting on two field goals of 51 yards and two tries from 35 yards out on his way to earning Offensive MVP honors.

Last year's East-West Shrine Bowl included Offensive Rookie of the Year finalist Brock Purdy among its participants, along with 13 of the 2022 NFL Draft's top 150 picks.
