What a great potential move by the BE. Who better to replace Syracuse and UConn than East Carolina???

That would be a great move for ECU and the B.E.

I read yesterday that ECU has applied to the Big East 28 times. Think about that. That is not a joke.

The BE is in a weird position. Theyve got TCU coming in, 2 HUGE members moving out, theyve only got 6 or 7 teams that play football but 15 that play basketball. How do you add 3 or 4 moe teams that play football but still have any semblence of a normal basketball league ( which is where your bread is buttered)? LOL. Thats what you get when you let some teams in for some thing, other teams for other things etc

No one. The move is perfect. It's a huge CFB state that only has 4 other BCS programs in it. Unless the New York Jets were willing to move to the BE, I think this is the best possible addition. I can't wait until we get to face off against ECU basketball in MSG.

Based on those numbers they should go after UCF first, but they really aren't replacing what they lost. UCF stadium is nice though.

Big East just needs to throw in the towel as a football conference already.

Rutgers = one fluke year in 2006, still played in the Texas Bowl. Would leave for ACC at the drop of a hat.

UConn = solid basketball school, one fluke year in 2010 in a down year for Big East football. WOuld leave for ACC at the drop of a hat.

Louisville = once a mid-major, always a mid-major.

Cincinnati = see above. Crap football program.

USF = see above.

TCU = see above, and doesn't make geographic sense.

West Virginia = just hope and pray you get an SEC invite.
