You did allow a 15 seed into the sweet 16, that's the definition of underachieving right there sir LOL just kidding

but I could very well see you guys making getting better than worse this year.
I'll just blame Georgetown for that one.

LOL!! Georgetown has definitely mastered the first round exit, Florida Gulf Coast may have been underseeded too, no 15 seed has ever been that good, those guys took the college basketball world by storm.

Almost all preseason top 25's have Iowa anywhere from 5th to 25th. The majority have them in the 13-18 range. Iowa won 25 last year and returns everyone in a B10 that wont be nearly as strong as it was this year. Iowa also adds 2 really nice pieces to an already loaded lineup. Hell Id put Iowa higher than 13th if I was doing a poll of where I thought teams would finish the year but since its preseason 13 is about right. No other b10 team returns more than the Hawks.

So wait...Iowa has 2 really nice pieces coming in and Michigan's incoming class isn't good? That doesn't make ANY sense. Michigan has 3 Top 100 guys coming in and by all accounts a top 15 class. Iowa's class isn't even in the top 40. And yes I know they have Uthoff coming in, but he was BARELY a top 100 guy coming in, in 2011.

Michigan will be way more talented IMO.

Maybe??? I didnt say Michigan didnt have a better class coming in than Iowa. Iowa doesnt really have a class other than Jok because Iowa only had 1 schollie avaiable because they return everyone off a 25 win team. Michigans class is fine but they lose the heart and sould of that team in Burke and a great leader in Hardaway. Since GR3 and McGary came back I have UM 8th now http://www.sportshoopla.com/forums/...6178-wayyyy-too-early-preseason-top-25-a.html

that said it wont shock me if Iowa finishes higher than Michgan in the B10 and the rankings this year. People can scoff at me having Iowa 12th but MOST preseason rankings have them 13th-low 20's so 12th isnt a stretch especially when you consider experience vs talent. I know what Im going to get out of Marble, White, Gessell, Basabe, Woodbury, Clemmons, McCabe etc etc. The teams with super talent coming in dont know how that talent will pan out ( see UK last year). Plus you add in 2 really solid pieces in Uthoff and Jok ( former #1 recruit in the country til his knee injury 2 years ago, absolutley ripping up the Primetime League and crushing games in IC from what Im hearing) and you get a top 15 team EASY IMO.

Considering they won the PAC tournament, went to the Sweet 16 this year, and return just about everyone I think they are worthy of a top 25 spot. More so than St. Louis.

Oregon loses quite a bit...no way they're a top 25 team.

I pretty much agree with this list but I'd move Florida down a few spots to number 6 or 7. They won't have Walker for the first semester... once he returns they are a legit top 5 team though.

Marquette will NOT be a top ten team, that is for sure.

That was before Blue went pro idiot. And they easily were among the 10 best. Now they are still around 15.

Considering they usually enter the season unranked at find themselves near the top 10 late in the year..

it isn't out of the realm to think they wont end up in the top 10 this year. They are returning a hell of a lot of size and experience with a top 10 recruiting class featuring 5 guys.

Bear Down

WEST COAST WILDCATS
Novemeber 14 at Viejas Arena. I can't wait for that game. The last time our teams played, it was a great game. That Johnson kid flew like a rocket out of nowhere to stuff Tapley.

SDSU has some huge scoring holes to fill with Franklin and Tapley gone. This year's team will be tough on defense as every Fisher team has been, but much better than usual especially with human fly-swatter Sklyler Spencer who had 2.9 blocks per game in under 14 minutes and rebounding will the a strength. Scoring? Some guys need to step up just like Tapley and Franklin did when Kawhi, and Billy White wrapped up their collegiate careers. Look for a healthy X Thames to fill one of those roles.

I hope Tennessee has a good team this year. Everyone on volnation thinks they'll make the tournament. But I can't tell if they're just homers or not. We'll see.

They're not. TN is ranked #19 (Sporting News, 13SEP13) and #16 (CBassholeS, 14OCT13.)

kudos to the OP...(and good move to predict recruiting success ~ rankings)...other than the huge impact of recruiting (took KU from your #25 to #6 and UK from #11 to feeking #1) in the polls noted above...the majority were/are pretty spot on. nice job.

cbb rankings are even more volatile than cfb rankings...after a couple of weeks into the season, these are SURE to change radically. Even so, haha, it warms this Spartan's heart knowing how many Skunkbear sphincters are squeezed tight seeing this ranking.
