Idk . Ravens wont get anything in a trade. Maybe he comes back to Texas and signs with cowboys and it works out. Quite a gamble. Earl is an older player now. His skills could erode. .if cowboys do it I would hope for the best.

Give him the same deal as Griffin. Not sure I go any higher. If our season goes well We may need to wiggle room to bring in some players via trade during the year. Going to be a lot of guys out for spells this year and our 2 OTs already having injury issues. Maybe 3 tech or CB is a need too. Need some cap flexibility.

Just yesterday Michael Gehlken from the Dallas Morning News dropped a bomb on Cowboys Nation. Not only was Dallas’ top free agent safety signing not an upgrade over the departed GOAT, Jeff Heath, but his play hasn’t even been good enough to warrant a starting job. That’s a bold statement considering how shallow the Cowboys are at safety.


I'm not inboard giving ET a LTC but I'm all in on an incentive laden contract.

Forget for a moment the developing situation involving Thomas, the seven-time Pro Bowler whom the Baltimore Ravens released on Sunday and has drawn the Cowboys’ interest. Clinton-Dix is struggling to seize the starting job on his own merit.

Darian Thompson arguably has been more impressive in camp.

That included Sunday morning when Clinton-Dix misplayed at least one pass in practice, aggressively playing the ball and finding himself out of position to contest the catch. Meanwhile, Thompson worked alongside safety Xavier Woods.

Eating $2.25M looks inevitable. But I can digest that one.

Yeah, I remember you saying that from the beginning. I really liked the signing and will be disappointed if what the writers are saying about him is true. Of course McCarthy will probably come out and call him a HOFer

Earl Thomas is worth a chance to sign. His contract can be worded to so that any personal problems can be addressed. He likely would be the best safety the Cows have had in years.
