Let's look at Eagles' home openers the past 5 years:

2009: Eagles vs Saints - Saints win Super Bowl
2010: Eagles vs Packers - Packers win Super Bowl
2011: Eagles vs Giants - Giants win Super Bowl
2012: Eagles vs Ravens - Ravens win Super Bowl
2013: Eagles vs Chargers

Oh well.

that is an awsome streak... but we say it will end every year, since it is very improbable to even happen 2 years in a row... to happen 4 times in a row is just as small as winning the powerBall....

Certainly a curious coincidence that Philly has opened at home each of the past four years against the eventual SB winner. I didn't realize that. Guess that offers some hope for SD fans to hang onto, but you are realistic enough to realize how unlikely that streak is to continue.

Your team looked very good against Houston the other night in the first half. Alas, the second half was reminiscent of the last time it was on MNF.
