It's kinda surprising, because if you look around the NFL at all the back-up QB's, even 3rd stringers, you would think Tebow is good enough to at least land a back-up role somewhere ...

The EAGLES will likely re-sign him later in the season...probably immediately after game 1.

There would be less downside at that point in time.

I think this was about roster cap flexibility and making sure he didnt take a valuable guaranteed contract.

If his throwing motion hasn't improved then I can see why they would. He also hasn't played for ages so there's a pretty good chance he's not in 100% game shape.

100 times no. Orlovsky blows, but even he is better than Tebow in this offense.

Tebow should get a chance with someone else. I think he needs some regular season game play to get sharper.
He did well running the 2 minute offense with Eagles. He can get better. He is not as bad as many say he is.
Considering that he was away from football for a while he did OK. Giving up on Tebow has become fashionable.
However someone will benefit if they sign him. IMO.
