I dont see it being a problem for the Patriots....with a contract with limited guaranteed money and lots of incentives

Sources have said that the Eagles released instead of trading them because they did not want a team getting him without knowing the possible legal trouble he may face in the future.

I have no interest seeing this guy a Patriot.

I'd rather see how Boyce develops as a speed guy with KR capabilities.

At this point the Patriots have done enough in free agency to not have a glaring hole on their roster and can add the talent they need in the draft. But make no mistake, TE, interior OL, pass rusher, DL depth, and maybe RB, are target areas and all of which the Pats can find as soon as the roster number jumps to 90.

I also see the Patriots set up perfectly to trade their 1st round pick and grab two solid guys in the 2nd round.

I can't imagine Bill B. bringing this kind of toxicity into the Patriot locker room, especially after the fiasco with Hernandez.

It's all bullshit. There's no legitimate evidence that there's anything wrong with Desean.

Price is the only factor that prevents him from being a patriot, not tabloid rumors.

Not true at all. When I taught in Long Beach, he was a highly recruited WR at Long Beach Poly. He had a reputation there as a punk who thought the world revolved around him, and him only. He had trouble at Cal, and it continued when he went to the NFL. You don't release a player of Desean's ability without some just cause. The kid is trouble, period.

The cause is money. He was owed ten per over the next three years.

He's not trouble. He has never had any legal trouble, has never caused any problems, and has never said anything bad about his team except that he wanted to get paid.

For the same reason of money. He's not worth what he's making.

There's more to it than money.
I'm not going to say I know what "it" is but it is not just that he was overpaid. They quit talking to other clubs. You don't eat all that without trying to do some damage control. we'll hear more as time goes on.
Of course he'll deny it, he has to sell himself to somebody.
Hey Desean! Tell your agent to call the raiders and the cowboys!

Because no one was going to give up a draft pick for his salary. They had no other option but to cut him.

It's definately more than a money issue. He was owed something like 30 mill over the next 3 years but none of it was guaranteed which is fine considering he is coming off a career best season.

He had dead money of 2 million each year. Taking the hit now if you know he isn't in your plans gives you a 4 mil extra space this year, plus ~10 each over the next two relative to keeping him. It opens up a bunch of cap space next year, while waiting until next year results in his full hit this year plus 4 next year that could be entirely freed up.
