Byron Maxwell. A good but not great Corner.

Walter Thurmond. A very good Safety.

Cedric Thorton. A very good DT.

Kiko Alonso. When healthy an excellent LB. He finally gets healthy so they trade him.

Seyi. A very good Special Teamer. The Eagles were excellent on Special teams because they hired specialists.

Cherry picking someone's worst plays can make any player look bad. Fact is Maxwell, Thurmond, Thorton and Alonso (when healthy - we wasn't last year) are all solid players in this league and they are all now gone. So for the second year in a row the Eagles are reworking there secondary - a year after they did a pretty good job of fixing it.

The Eagles were bottom 5 in passing yardage given up last year after being bottom 5 the year before. Those are facts. Which differ greatly from your very special and warped opinions. "A pretty good job of fixing it" is not what they did.

All I am saying is you guys are drinking too much koolaid. Howie is dumping several good players and spending a boatload of money keeping a bunch of mediocre ones. And you don't even know who is coming in to replace Maxwell, Thurmond and Thorton yet and your slobbering all over Howie like he suddenly learned how to evaluate players by having a year to sit on his a$$.

No one is drinking anything - the picture is still incomplete - we still have free agency to begin officially and the draft coming up. I have long been one of Howie biggest critics, and while I am impressed with the moves he's made to this point to get out from cumbersome contracts and lock up some of the young talent on the team, his biggest test remains, and it's drafting the right guys which has never been his strength. He's not terrible at it, but he hasn't been that good at it either.

He did manage to trade Murray on the first day of the new league calendar, that in itself I thought would be impossible. He should get props for that.

Yeah Murray was the largest mistake Kelly ever made and it really doesn't matter what they got for him. Getting him off the books is good enough.

Well, its always somewhat subjective, but I think just about any analyst would disagree. If you simply go by salary they commanded, its not even close. Career starts? Not close? PFF rankings? Not close.
