I'm a little disappointed they cut Lanning already, I was really hoping he could push for the punters job.

Joe Don will be a disappointment to some of you. I'm sorry to see local kid Chase Vaughn get cut. LB is a tough position to make on this team.

Lanning getting cut clarifies the punting job. It's Colquit again this year.

This was my thought too. I thought he looked just as good as Colquitt in the games so far. I haven't gone back to look for sure but I at least couldn't tell a difference when one of them was in the game over the other.

I hope Walker enjoyed his bonus money - he didn't show anything in camp.

I think Zac Dysert can play in the league off the bench - I expect he will catch on.

Might be some confusion on Walker. Vance Walker would of been surprise not Reggie

This isn't really Cuts related for our team but one of the guys we let go in FA that some in the media thought the Broncos were crazy for not making an offer to in Julius Thomas now has to have surgery on his broken finger and will miss at least the first month of the season. Julius when healthy was a huge weapon especially around the Red Zone but this is exactly why the Broncos couldn't give him the big contract. If you can't be on the field hard to give you top dollar for your position. Jaguar fans might as well get used to Julius showing up for a handful of games making an impact then going back on the injured list.

Yeah I was waiting on news of the severity of his finger. Still even without injury I still was wondering how much a product of Manning he was and was real curious as to how he would perform in Jacksonville. I still hope he does well, just not sure.

I think he is actually a decent player. He has that perfect build for what you want in a guy in the Red Zone. it is why I think if he plays all 16 games he is still a double digit touchdown type guy. The problem is he is not a football guy. His first love is basketball so he doesn't view football as anything more than how to make a ton of money in my opinion. It is why he isn't willing to play through an injury like we have seen others do. Heck we have 2 ILB's right now that one of them still has some screws holding his foot together and the other that has a new knee cap and says that every hit still brings about a little bit of pain. We have a QB that has his neck fuzed together and can't feel his fingertips. These are the type of guys you love to have on your team that they will do whatever it takes to win even if that means personal sacrifice of their own body for the greater good of the team.

Very true about Julius. He has the reputation to wimp out. Don't tell his Dad that though;)

Haha that might have been some of my favorite things to read this off season was his dad responding to Bronco fans online. I wonder what his dad would say now. Heck there are about 4-5 receivers that I know of in the league right now that have broken fingers and are still playing. Listening to some of the old guys who played receiver talk they would say how beat up their hands were most years but that they just taped them up and went out and played.

Oh heck yeah. Just about every wr you see during reg season has taped up fingers at some point in season. Yeah Julius definitely has a willingness/toughness issue going on no doubt.

Wow the rival Chiefs might have suffered one of the biggest blows of the preseason if it ends up being serious. Travis Kelce left practice today. He walked off on his own but team now is waiting until tomorrow to give an update. That usually means they found something that needs further looks. Could be nothing but if they lose him he honestly might be their best offensive weapon not named Charles.

That would be devastating to KC if he was out for significant time. Besides his extremely valuable asset as a wr, he is a great blocker on a already suspect O line

I played a little intramural flag football in college, and when we were warming up for a game I misjudged a pass and had it smash right into the tip of my pinkie. It hurt like crazy but I figured it was just jammed really good, so of course I played the game and every game that season.

Being the stupid college kid that I was, I figured, jammed finger, it will heal over time, so I never got it looked at. So yeah, I've still got a crooked pinkie finger to this day. My doctor told me if I ever wanted it fixed, it would take surgery and pins and all that jazz, but it doesn't hurt anymore, it just healed crooked, so I just let it go.

My point is, I played with a broken finger for free. I can't believe an NFL player would miss time because they broke a finger.

Again this is why he was expendable for the Broncos. He refuses to play unless he is 100%. In the NFL nobody is 100% after a few games into the season. It is just part of the game that even those just playing it recreationally know. For me that is why I was somewhat of the mindset of don't let the door hit you on the way out when he was leaving. He pretty much refused to block when he was playing and other than his ability to work in the Red Zone didn't really offer that much. He was a specialty player that while nice to have they can also be a headache when asked to do more than what they specialize in.

The Broncos have made final cuts. Looks like Nathan Palmer, Danny Mason, and Dan Light are the final 3 cuts until the next cut down after Thursday.

The two TEs we brought in for a look certainly didn't last long.
