20 roster spots

QB: Newton
RBs: Ball, Jennings & Thomas
WRs: Nelson, Garcon, Patterson, Williams
TE: Thomas
Def: Seattle

That leaves me 10 draft picks. Picks 10, 9 & 8 Will be my Kicker and two IDPs.

These are my current picks:

First – 5 & 10
Second – 22
Third – none
Fourth – 41 & 47
Fifth – 53
Sixth – 65 & 71

I have one too many picks than I can use. I was thinking about packaging a pick with 2.01(22) with another pick to try and jump to 2.01(13) and take Rodgers. I think QB will be my only potential weakness after going Forte/Lacy at 5 and Murray at 10.

Thoughts?

You say you have ten picks left, have shown eight and stated you have one too many.

??? I'm confused.

:noidea:

I have 10 picks after keepers then subtact three for the kicker and 2 IDPs leaving 7 "real" picks but i have 8 draft picks to do it with. Does that make more sense?

I have 5, 10, 22, 41, 47, 53, 65, 71, 89, 101, 113, 125, 137, 149, 161, 173, 185, 197, 209, 221, 233.

Then start subtracting my 10 players and kicker and two IDPs and that leaves me #71 and down which is 8 picks to fill out my last 7 roster spots.

My bad.

Obviously, get as high as you can...but I wonder if 41(or 47 if possible), and 65 get you a 30's?

The issue with 41 and 47 those are the first round of dynasty keeper picks. Those are HIGHLY coveted

I think you might be counting those Murray chickens before they hatch. He is ranked #11 overall on fantasy pros website and I've done a couple of mocks that he has gone with the 8th pick. Plus, teams I'm sure are already deeper at wide receiver since there are always more of them available after the 3rd round than any top running backs, so teams should be a lot more desperate for running backs than wide receivers. I'm not saying that he won't be there, but I wouldn't have that as my only plan with the 10th pick.

If you can trade up without giving up a keeper, I think it would be a good idea. I might actually target a stud WR instead though. Cam + a late round value QB will do just fine. I don't think you need an elite option there.

I was just offered 2.06 and Ben Tate for 2.10 and Rashad Jennings. Thoughts? Both RBs are obviously keepers and Tate is younger and both have had injury issues.

I have zero faith in Tate, so I would pass. I know some have Tate ranked ahead of Jennings, but personally I don't see it.

I would take it.

Ben Tate is 3.5 years younger than Jennings, and Jennings is going to be 30 this season. In a dynasty team, I think it's best to get something for those 30-year-old RB's before their value plummets, and I think this is perfect.

I don't really trust Tate or Jennings too much, who both have young guys nipping at their heels. Tate is more of an injury concern to me, but with the better pick and the age difference, yea I would take this deal.

Would you rather have Tate or Joique Bell?

Tate over Bell.

Tate is expected to start and has an opportunity to make a real name for himself. I'm not convinced that Bell will ever get the same opportunity that Tate has right now.

That's a tough question imho...I really like Terrance West, and with Tate's durability issues, coupled with the occasional fumblitis..I wouldn't bet much on him being "the guy" for the whole season. J. Bell isn't going to ever be a great fantasy RB.. but he's a consistent 5 points with the occasional 15 thrown in. Tough call, but gimme Bell by a very slim margin.

I have made a trade. I acquired 1.06 for 1.10 and 5.05.

I now have 1.05 and 1.06.
