In truth, Durant was neither the best player nor the Most Valuable Player in the series. That would be LeBron Raymone James, whose numbers trumped even Durant: 33.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 10.0 assists and shooting 56.4 percent from the field, all the while playing excellent defense. The first triple-double average in Finals history.
Just one in a ton of truths in that article. I guess Jordan could have made that assumption after watching the Pistons go to the finals 3 straight years. Fortunately for Bulls fans being a man prohibited him from doing that.
