Amazing performance by him. Pretty much illustrates his entire career. The guy can go weeks without playing or practicing and absolutely dominate a football game, but in three weeks he'll probably be on the bench with sand in his vagina. If this guy could keep himself healthy and motivated, he'd be one of the best in the league. I'm not counting on it - But it's nice to think about!

I really really like our "starting defense line"...Johnson, Atkins, Peko, Dunlap...best we have had in many many years.

Our MLB is the worst in the game, and our secondary is so old and slow, it makes me want to scream. If we had a defense, a running game we would be pretty good...lol.

Dalton made one mistake today which became a TD, but he was very impressive. Kinda unbelievable that Sanu comes in first play, throws a 73 yard TD to Green and then never sees the field the rest of the day. WTF does he have to do to see a little more playing time?

I am very impressed with our young WR core. We have a lot of talent there, but for F sake, we need a better run blocking line, and a RB worth a lick. I know our defense sucks, but I am honestly mixed on what we should take with our first round pick next year, a LB or RB.

RB is not a 1st round need. Get one in the 2-4 like most teams. I thought Burfict played well. He needs to be put in the middle and see what he can do. CB and S are the 2 biggest needs on this team.

I agree about Burfict, but Lawson will not be back next year and you have to wonder how Howard will come back.

Safety is a huge fucking need as well, I agree, and CB is a huge need, but I am hoping Leon starts getting better as the year goes on, and Kirkpatrick turns out to be a stud once he is able to get on the field finally.

I think Clements could be okay at S, and Nelson is here for a few years regardless.

I think LB is the biggest need with Howard being down and Malaluga being so fucking bad.

I don't know, we have a ton of fucking needs, unbelievable considering how well we have drafted lately.

Probably need a new LT, RB, C, LB, S, CB, backup DE since Dunlap can never stay healthy.

Think we will actually use a little bit of that cap money to sign some decent players in FA this year to shore up 2 or 3 of these holes?

Whit is hurt. I don't think LT is a need at all. RT might be depending on what we do with Smith.

If he is legitimately hurt, don't you think it would be smart to have a blocker in there that can actually move well enough to block a pass rusher?

Why wouldn't Lawson return? He signed back on this season after playing on a one year deal.

Dunlap needs to stay healthy ALL Damn season....I think the Gilberry kid once he gets the defense will be good in rotation not as a starter...

I didn't get to post yesterday. Was actually able to sit 6 rows up from the field on the Bengals sideline.

Dunlap looked like a man yesterday and it was good to see some actual pressure on the QB. He was getting doubled a decent amount and was still able to bull rush at times.

I was VERY disappointed watching Rey. It was crazy how many plays he just doesn't finish. There were 4 times specifically I can think of, where he could have been in the play or made a tackle and just pulled up jogging and allowed 4 or 5 more yards. This isn't even including plays where he was just out of position.

The secondary was hard to judge. With Garson out, Washington doesn't really have any deep threat receivers, and skins WR only caught 9 balls yesterday. Most of those came when we were sitting back in a prevent (which we should all hate) at the end of the first half and then the end of the game. Their TE hurt us pretty badly.

Overall, we'll take the win. There were a good number of Bengals fans there, and it was good to shut up the 'RGIII' chants.

Funny how this board changes so quickly...last week he was a bust, bum or a pussy depending on who was posting. I'm guessing that Gresham will be the next player that wins favor with the posters here. Rey will always be terrible, though. He truly does suck. At least yesterday he didnt prove to be a total liability.

I'm one of the people that bashed Dunlap and I will continue to do so. As I said, when he plays football he is an amazing talent. That was the case at Florida as well. The problem is that he doesn't consistently play football and there have been more than a few hints that a big reason why is because he is lazy.

Gresham's inconsistency is irritating. He certainly has a lot of potential, but he's good for a few boneheaded plays per game.

I don't think there are any Bengals fans left that can defend Rey. I was thinking yesterday that we should probably just cut him right now.

When he's on the field Dunlap has never shown me anything that woudl say that he's lazy. I've never seen him give up on a play, loafing around etc. I think every uber talented DE get's labled as lazy or inconsistent (unless they're white...then they are 'blue collar') like they're supposed to get a sack on every play and when they don't they're simply loafing.

Dunlap is one of my favorite players so of course I want to see him on the field more...but nobody knows the extent of his injuries...It's not like the guy wanted to sprain his knee so he could take a four weeks off. Last year he set himself back by trying to come back too quickly...and he was never quite right. I'd also point out that the guy finished his degree at UF during his offseason which I think is commendable and not consistent with a lazy goldbricker.

I'd agree that Gresham is inconsistent, but the guy doesnt suck. he's not a bum. he's not terrible. He's a productive, extemely talented player that can still get better.

I don't know the dude..... He could be an amazing worker. All I have to go on is two things.... First, he fell into the second round even though his talent is through the roof. Not often you'd see a pass rusher with his abilities fall into the second round. Second, Marvin has continuously made reference to Dunlap's diligence (or lack thereof) during recovery for injury. Marvin is an absolute buffoon and a questionable evaluator of talent/character, so this isn't too meaningful. But when you combine it with other factors (number of games played), it's at least a warning sign.

I root for the laundry. If the guy can play like he did yesterday, I couldn't be more happy to have him. He was a force and he and Johnson are the only bright spots on our D. But I'm not going to get too excited about the dude until he puts in a solid stretch without injuries.

He really needs to sit and get better, if it takes all season......Collins would be a more than adequate replacement....hey I'm a big fan of Whit, but he obviously isn't right, and his man gets pressure on Dalton way too often....

I'd say he slipped due to passing out drunk at the redlight shortly before the draft...and yeah he was inconsistent. Of course I don't know him either, but it seems like he has probably matured. He hasnt been in any trouble...and I think getting the degree shows maturity. He did put together a more than solid stretch as a rook...in fact he was pretty damn amazing...but last year was a wash due to the injuries. Hopefully he can stay on the field. He makes that whole D better...I think MJ was great yesterday but having a guy like Dunlap on the opposite side probably makes his life a whole lot easier.
