Dune Messiah picks up 12 years after Dune and focuses on the conspiracy to overthrow Mua'dib.
The Guild, Bene Thelaxiu, Iruland, House Corino, Korba the Fremen, and the ghola Duncan are the ring leaders. Duncan is a sleeper agent.

I believe chanis inability to get pregnant, Paul struggling with the religious influence he has started, alia beginning to succumb to inner voices, and the plot to assassinate Paul constitute the bulk of the book.

Children of Dune focuses on Paul's children.
