And some of you want Scott Frost as head coach. What Stanford is doing to Nike U is the absolute reason why Nebraska needs to get back to playing football the way use to. Playing sound fundamental football on defense and offense and being physical. Throat punching the opponent over and over again. Sorry but I can't not and will not believe you can win NC with Nike U offense.

Auburn won a NC with that type of offense. But they actually had a tough physical D to go with it.

Forget Frost. Maybe Nebraska can get Stanford's coach. While watching the game, when I squinted really hard, Stanford almost looked like the Nebraska teams of yore. The colors were right, the road grading o line, the havoc reeking d line, pounding the ball on first for for 6 yard gains up the middle, converting virtually every 3rd and short with a bulldozing line and a punishing run. Yeah. Nebraska needs that guy...

We have plenty of money but only Notre Dame can fully compete with "Texas money"

Seriously. Start calling every successful coach that doesn't have a position right now. Cowher, Dungy, anyone with a tight resume and start spit-balling numbers...

Auburn won a NC with that type of offense. But they actually had a tough physical D to go with it.

They squeaked by another spread team Nike U. However Auburn's defensive front four handle Nike U oline. There are a few others that have. But look at the track record for most spread teams when they play a physical offense and defense they get handled. Nike U's track record against teams like this is not good. LSU stomped them, Boise State stomped them, and right now Stanford owns them. They can't handle physical teams because most spread teams are nothing more than hand play, finesse team with smoke and mirrors. There is nothing more demoralizing on defense when a team runs the same play over and over you know where the play is going but yet you can't do anything to stop it. Stanford football team last night IMO was a beautiful to watch and what football should be all about.

I loved what Shaw said at his press conference after the game. It's about controlling the line of scrimmage. It's really a simple game. What they need to look at is checking in to Stanford DC and Pep Hamilton OC for the Indy Colts. Hamilton comes from the Jim Harbaugh and David Shaw tree.

There's plenty of mega wealthy corporate people here in Nebraska. Since a lot of them refuse to pay their employees a livable wage, they could at least throw some "exorbitant" cash towards the hiring of a worthy coach for the Nebraska football team.

Shaw was on the game plan is all --and he paid attention to detail

if you pay attention ---you win
