Caps defensive gaps are way too large; backing up too quick and giving the Ducks too much time and space out there.

So, the offense finally gets going and Varly poops the bed. Damn it.

Come on, boys! We need a couple points!

Is it me, or this about the slowest moving you've seen skaters on ice this year? (and i mean both teams)

Was thinking that, but I thought it might've been just me because I'm tired

SH goal WTF Neuvy?

Ovechkin stabs, guys stand around, Neuvy doesn't even move - complete bullshit on all cards.

Also, fuck Semin. Trade his ass. Lazy passes, stupid penalties, and whenever he loses the puck, he does it in a way that leads to odd man rushes. I'm tired of this Jekyll/Hyde act.

Also, nice goal by Steckel. Wish the top two lines would put as much effort in as our 3rd and 4th.

Anybody on the fire Bruce Boudreau bandwagon?

I REALLY don't think it's his fault. The defense was a problem. He fixed it. Guys are in position to score, they aren't putting them home. OV has the same number of shots as last year - he's not finishing. Green, Knuble, Backtrom, and Semin - NOT finishing. That's not Bruce's fault.

I'm with Bruce. I'm on the "Trade Semin" bandwagon.

They need to find ballance, tonight its pretty much bad D and good O. But all year it's been great D and pretty bad O. Find a way to play D and still able to break out and get those scoring chances that they had all last year, and we're golden. Problem is, I dunno if Bruce can get the guys to do both....he may, but let's see

There is a trade off to some degree. I mean, they have to work harder in the transition game now because the forwards are staying at home more and are not jumping out and getting as many odd-man rushes and such. But that might hurt you for 20-30 goals over a season, not almost 100!

(Ducks score, weird ass goals everywhere tonight)

But the bigger issue is finishing. They were criticized for not going to the net enough last year. Doing that more now, but not putting home wristers, connecting with great passes, putting home the nice pass to the back door, etc.

Here are some shooting percentages - OV 8.0% (career - 12.0), Laich 7.9% (career - 10.5), Knuble 9.5% (career - 14.2), Green 7.0% (career - 9.0), Carlson 5.3%, Fehr 7.8%, and on and on.

Those are dreadful.
