Well my dream scenario is the Colts trading Andrew Luck to the Niners, but that's not going to happen with PeyMan gone...

Wouldn't it be great if it gets reported that the Dolphins and Manning agree to terms, and then the Niners swoop in at the last minute and sign him like they did with Harbaugh? That would make me wish I had any friends who rooted for the Dolphins so I could tease 'em for years.

Maybe the Niners are playing possum as part of a grand plan to secretly sign Manning without any undue fanfare. Just spring it on everyone when the deal is signed and done.

I wish we would sign Peyton in a dream scenario. He's always been my favorite player and possibly the best QB of all time IMO. Also, i would want to bring Wayne with him.

Since the chances of Peyton coming to SF are very low i would prefer him to go to either the Chiefs or Dolphins. Peyton vs Brady twice a year would be interesting and possibly keep one of those guys out of the post season.

Better than Joe? I'll stick with him.

Joe Cool was definitely more clutch (than anybody ever). How badly would you like to see those old QB's play with today's "don't touch anybody" rules? Marino and Montana would probably have thrown for over 100,000 yards each if they played today. Simms might have topped 50,000 yards.

I never thought I would hear myself say this, but I kinda miss the 80s.

As a 9er fan it's hard not to be biased, but yes i would take Manning over Joe i think. Peyton did it all by himself. Joe had Walsh and a great team behind him. Manning has arguably never had a "great" team.

Really... Joe never choked in a Super Bowl... Payton did. Joe Had four rings never threw a pick in the big game and 3 super bowl MVP's.... 4-0 vs 1-1 Payton Mannings QBR in the Superbowl 83.5. Joe Cool 127.8... I think I'll stick with Joe and leave the pretender to the throne alone. But thats just me.

As for Mannings Great team Edgerrin James, Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, Bob Sanders, Freeney, Mathis... yeah Manning was surrounded by duds. You do realize Montana won with Bill Ring, Freddie Solomon, Dwight Clark, Ronnie lott... before he Ha Rice, Taylor, Craig, Haley, and the great team. Now if you want to throw in Brady who won Superbowls with Wide receivers who couln't even start on other teams then we can talk. But Seriously Manning ha better receivers than Montana did Pre Rice.

I never said Manning was surrounded by duds. He may of had good receivers, but it's hard to fuck up when he puts it right in there hands. Manning makes his receivers much better than they are. His pre snap read of Defenses goes beyond what most QB's could only dream of. He gives his offense a better change pre snap. I'm not trying to say Joe wasn't great, because he was. I'm just saying i give Peyton a slight edge over Manning because Joe played on better "teams". Not just a hand full of players.
