Almost every player will re-sign with a team willing to pay him what he's worth. Sorry, not buying into the idea that Walton money spends any different than anyone else's.

And Kizla is a moron for writing that piece about DJ offering a hometown discount. Thats never been a topic of discussion.

will not resign in Denver

Bet he does. People are blowing up about his comment “I am here now”. Pretty confident he will be here and we can always tag him too. His comment was a perfect example of people running/twisting something.

Yes franchise tag possibly for 2023 , runs risk of injury, but I bet Denver will have to overpay to keep him. He knows he will get probably $18M a year on the open market.

Yep, Kizla has been awful for.................ever!

He will get near 20 Million and that is what it is. Denver controls this deal with the tag now that Chubb is gone.

Thats market value according to most reports I've read. 20 million is the high end, and he's worth every penny even if we tag him and restructure.

Most player/contract issues stem from situations with GM's like Elway who expect a hometown discount. Paton has already proven he doesn't do that.

Elway got a lot of good deals done. He handled the Von deal well considering the circumstances as SB MVP. Von got highest money at the time but was easily surpassed quickly and he ended up playing out the full deal.
