Meh. I have no dog in the fight. It's just my two cents. IMO, the squirrel could take both of them in a fight.

I agree being as they are both rivals im nuetral but it didnt look like there was a whole lot behind the punch maybe that squirrel is the actual culprit he may have hit him before staal that would be understandable.

Just from looking at I think Staal thought that Prusts hit on TK was high/from behind. It wasn't TK had just turned and was hit from the side. Then Staal came over trying to protect his guy and Prust put is elbow right in his face and Staal popped him. I don't think there was intent to injure and it appeared to not much more than a glancing.

I don't think that it is suspension worthy but who knows?

Anybody that thinks it was a dive has clearly never been hit in the face before. If you're not prepared to get hit and you do it knocks you off balance and stuns you for a second, I dont care who you are, you get whacked without expectation you're going down. Not to mention Jordan Staal is 6 ft 4 in 220 lb I would love to see you weekend warriors take a "baby sucker punch" from him and see if you dont go down. Sometimes I really have to wonder where half the commonsense is on these forums.

A sucker punch with a glove on packs more heat than you would think. Most guys would rather get hit with a bare fist than a gloved hand. I could see that shot surprising Prust and knocking him senseless for a bit.

It did look like he overplayed it a little. When you catch one on the chin, you usually go straight down. Your arms don't go up in the air, do a quick twist and then go down. With all that said, it worked.

I guess he figured they're already without Crosby, Malkin & Letestu. So taking Staal away would be adding insult to injury. Or he simply took a look at the schedule & noticed the Pens are playing the Islanders next.
