Think he has a monster year next season when Parker is gone and he is the main rebounder. Really like him a lot. He's a local kid from Redondo Beach and I hope he stays 4 years.

it's so early on in the season, this loss really doesn't mean anything. Hats off to UCLA for beating them however, they played well and deserved the win.

, but I will agree that UCLA is not a good team. But they played about as well as they possibly could against UK, while UK played pretty bad.

I think UCLA is probably a pretty good team, but not so good that they should have been able to beat Kentucky. UCLA had a game plan that worked pretty close to perfect. They sat back in a zone defense and forced Kentucky to try to beat them with outside shots.

Basically a combination of a decent team with a good game plan that played a bit over their heads while the opponent didn't play up to their ability.

This has got to help UNLV. UCLgAy is their only loss, they just knocked off number 1, and UNLV has beaten two ranked teams. They will be ranked soon, and then shut the bed against some schmuck team. I swear I'm not psychic.

This win against Kentucky will stick out and give them the at-large nod against many other teams who didn't beat anybody. Ken Pomeroy has them up to 40th now with that win.

Kentucky is a borderline top 25 team right now. These mid majors they have played - I thought they were just really good teams. A few may be but I can't see all of them being bubble teams. Bottom line- the defense is pretty bad and until UK can shoot consistently, the bigs are gonna have trouble.

December basketball means nothing. Calipari is still working on his lineup and rotations. Kentucky will win the SEC and will be a nr 1 or 2 seed in the NCAA and that's all that team needs to move in contention for another national title.

UK will not fall out of the Top 10 all season. The SEC cannot knock them off the perch with the likes of Miss St, Ole Miss, UGA, UT, Bama, aTm, Arkansas, Mizzou, or even LSU with Simmons. UF? Maybe can give them trouble with their guard play. They have an RPI rating of #8 right now. But I just don't see them taking down UK. Vandy will give them a little trouble because of their size and shooting. SC could bite them since they usually give UK a rough time in Columbia. Auburn is still a work in progress with Pearl trying to get his recruits. But he hasn't near the quality of guys Calipari does. The conference has gotten a little better than last year. But overall, the SEC is still pretty weak.
