UNC loses to Iowa St? That opens it up for?
Wisconsin came SO close to taking down #3 Kansas the other night.

So will they put a team that only scored 49 pts in their last game in to the #1 spot? Or might Purdue get the nod?And 1 more time.

There was no hate towards UNC involved, lol, are you that biased that you can't acknowledge thatMeanwhile duke gets blown out and Unc still drops below them. Love the hate against UNC
Duke didn’t just lose they got demolished. Unc went 4 overtones with a solid ranked Bama team and Iowa St barely beat Unc and is also ranked. Unc has 2 close losses. Duke has same number of losses only one was a complete demolishing. Don’t tell me that deserves Unc to drop 17 spots below them. That’s a joke and you know itThere was no hate towards UNC involved, lol, are you that biased that you can't acknowledge that
#1, losing to an UNRANKED team, Iowa St, is way worse than losing to a very good Purdue team. PU's ranked #1 in the Sagarin Ratings. And both teams have 2 losses, Duke's other loss was to a very good and highly esteemed team, Kansas, that was ranked #3 this weekend while UNC's 2nd loss was to a less esteemed Bama team, and UNC's 2 losses came back to back, with only 1 day inbetween.
So of course UNC was going to drop further down the rankings than Duke. Only a biased homer couldn't understand this.
As for hating on UNC, why on earth would anyone hate on UNC? It's not like they got away with years upon years of, what is in a sense thought of by many as cheating with the super easy classes/degree programs created especially for dumb football and basketball players to go into to stay eligible. It's not like they ever did anything like that, right?

An Iowa st team who is ranked now for a reason bonehead. If they were garbage they wouldn’t be ranked regardless of an upset win and a 4 overtime loss isn’t just some typical loss. Gotta look at that and realize that was an evenly matched game which UNC could have won, Duke didn’t have a close game. A loss by blowout is much different than a loss by 1-2 points in 4 overtime’s. Regardless, UNC is a second half team so I’d rather get sloppy games out of the way now and click in MarchIf Iowa St is ranked, it's only AFTER UNC let them beat them. ISU moved up 20 spots in the coaches poll in order to crack the Top 25, so they are BARELY ranked.
So Duke lost big to the #1 ranked team in the RPI & Andy Katz's Power 36, and is #2 in the Sagarin Ratings, and #5 in the AP & Coaches Polls, and also to the #9 ranked defending Natl Champs, while UNC lost to a previously unranked Iowa St team and the previously #18 ranked team, they are not #11, and are only behind Duke 1 spot in the AP poll and UNC is actually ahead of Duke in the Coaches Poll.
They dropped 17 spots from NUMBER ONE!!!! That is absolutely appropriate after losing back to back games, one to an unranked team. And they only dropped below Duke by 1 spot, and ONLY in the AP poll, not in the coaches poll.
Duke had already dropped to #8 after their loss to the Top Ten ranked(#3 at the time) defending natl champs Kansas, so their SINGLE loss this week to a very highly deemed Purdue team could have gone without hurting them but it did because of the large margin of defeat.
But hey, Teamrankings dot com has UNC THIRTEEN spots ahead of Duke, #40 to Duke's #53, so you got that.
Just a warning, don't look at the Sagarin or Massey Ratings.

Is there a reason to believe UNC will improve?and a 4 overtime loss isn’t just some typical loss. Yes there is. Last season with these guys is all the proof you need. They aren’t playing the way they did last season the last half. They aren’t playing team ball wellThey got ranked on that one single win alone basically, because they lost their very next game, and not by 1-2 points, but as badly as Duke got blown out. So you want Duke to be punished but think Iowa St should remain ranked? lol
