This man is the shit... That is all
Our short film "Who We Are" has raised a lot of questions. One question I get a lot is about this "war" going on between hunters and "anti" hunters. I don't like the word "anti", because I feel like it makes people pick a side and creates contention between two groups and creates this "war on hunting" if you will. Why elevate it to us versus them? We are human beings, each vastly different from the next. Add to that hordes of variables in the form of misinformation, misrepresentation, rumor and perceived fact and you leave a lot of room for interpretation. This is the grey area. Just because you don't hunt or don't believe in hunting, doesn't make you an "anti-hunter." Maybe you think poachers are hunters? Maybe you think everyone that wears camouflage is a hunter? Maybe you think hunters kill animals, cut their heads off, and leave their bodies to rot? Do you see what I mean? I'm not saying we shouldn't defend what we believe in... I'm only saying that we should lead by example and educate those that are misinformed, or uninformed, about who hunters really are. Thoughts?
