That exact scenario is why New England had to come to Indy for the AFC title the year Manning finally beat them and won the Superbowl. Colts were the 3 seed and Pats were the 4 seed.

@olympicoscar you facepalmed a factual post of what has happened in the past with regards to how a team can host a championship round game without being a 1 or 2 seed?

And you wonder why we consider you to be the dumbest poster on these boards.

The Fins were trying to tank and finished with a better record than my team who was trying to win.

I don't think they were actually trying to tank, I think BFlo just needed time to change the culture, and get to winning ways. Should be interesting to see how he does the next few years.

That was a payback facepalm. Oscar is a little bitch that takes the facepalms way too seriously. I only facepalm him on post that deserve to be facepalmed. (most anything he ever says) and he just indiscriminately picks post I put up and facepalms them back till we are even. It is all he has in life.

Sorry old boy. Yes, a seed other than 1 or 2 can host the championship game.

Front office definitely reset and cleaned things up especially cap wise but coaching staff was trying to win since day one. They also IR'd quite a few players who could have come back if they were in a different position. This is what made it very surprising and my confidence is up.

no reason not to have your confidence up. I mean at the start of the season the bar couldnt have been any lower

Very true but ended 5-4 after starting 0-7. This with a bunch of starters on IR. They've at least built a foundation.

He did play well and limited his turnovers. The oline was horrific as well so I have to give the guy props. I honestly believe that's why they benched Rosen he couldn't handle that pressure. A lot of QBs couldn't it was the right call.

Think the fins just signaled they r drafting tua by hiring chan gailey. Which is a fantastic hire.

but he's familiar with fitzmagic. He'll keep him around another year, give tua a redshirt, and gamble he comes back ay ok.

No green font?
I give the Magic man a lot of their credit (over their front office)

Not just by his play necessarily. But his attitude towards football is infectious. Players like him in a locker room brings teams together (us vs. them kinda thing) they wouldnt have played the last half the season inspired football if they were still all doom & gloom in the locker room. I believe he makes (young players atleast) love & appreciate the fact they are playing football. Which will naturally help them play somewhat better on the field.

Its like magic!
