that Hue Jackson kept his job (for the mean time) after going 1-31, yet Freddie Kitchens (not necessarily against the firing, though coaches should have more than 1 year) was fired after going 6-10. I know the talent differential was pretty significant, but still.
oh it's odd, Jerry

It’s Cleveland, a coach could probably win the SB and be fired.

IMO it takes 3 years to turn a program around

It got worse the first year he was there and they added more talent.

Add to that his many gaffes cost them in key situations continuously

Your point?

That it’s a short window league. It took Doug Pederson two years to turn the Eagles around. It took Kyle Shanahan two years to turn the Niners. It took McVay one year. It took Andy a year in KC.

This is the modern NFL. It’s a 1-2 year league. Teams go from 3-13 to 11-5 and Vice versa rather quickly. The days of needing 4 years like in College is over.

Ok that seems fair

Just change your furnace filter every time the Browns fire their coach and you should be good.

There are a lot of behind the scenes aspects that we just don't see as fans that go into these firings.

I'm not a fan of pulling the plug early on guys but if you know you have the wrong guy it's better to pull that plug now than waste another year or two.

It's not just about record alone but if people and players especially buy in and believe in what you're doing. If players lose buy in to a coach it's almost impossible to salvage the situation and it's best to move.

Kitchen's lost support of the locker room and he didn't have the clout or resume to win it back so it's best to move on in that case.

Compared to Kyle Shanahan that despite the fact the team was losing the players were still all in and believed in the direction the team was heading despite the rocky start.

It does help when you do have a resume of recent success. I'm sure part of the reason Shanahan had the buy in from the players is that he could point to the 2016 Falcon's offense and show that he knew what he was doing. Kitchens can only point to half a season of being a coordinator to sell players on.
