I like Clayton Kershaw but in my eyes no one is worth 300 million dollars. Is he good/great? Yes. Would I love to see him on the Red Sox? Yes. But 300 million dollars is just mind-boggling.

I'm glad Clayton Kershaw is thinking twice, it's a big contract and a big commitment no matter how you slice it - it's easy for fans to say, "He should take it, it's 300 million dollars!" but there's still plenty of time to get a deal done, there's no need to make a quick judgement and sign it now - keep on negotiating and give it some time

It is hard to imagine the Dodgers not working out a deal with Kershaw. If they don't, and he becomes a FA in 2015, I believe he will sign with the Texas Rangers.

If anyone can afford it, it's the Dodgers. It's very risky to put all that money in one pitcher because a pitcher's arm can quickly go kaput at any time. However, the Dodgers have the money and can take this risk.
